Bretagne (Brittany)

Thousands of granite rocks arranged in mysterious patterns and lines by megalithic tribes as early as 4000 BC provide a depth to the history of this region which only became united with France in 1532. Bretagne juts defiantly into the Atlantic ending with Cape Finistere meaning the End of the Earth. The coast line is breathtaking and dotted with charming fishing villages and seaside towns and beaches. In land attractions include the capital city of Rennes and the mighty fortress of the Chateau de Fougeres.
